After an incredible number of applications, ten successful charities from across the South West have received £500 each.
Each year, we donate a portion of our profits to charity to empower good causes and local organisations. The bClear Charity Fund supports our mission to make a difference in the local community where staff live and work.
The team reviewed each worthy applicant and has now announced the ten successful charities benefiting from 2025’s Fund are: Bibic, Harvey Hext Trust, Ablaze, WhiteOak Way Schools Association, Edengate, Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, Alive Activities Ltd, Suicide Prevention UK, Radiotherapy UK and BRACE Dementia Research.
Great Western Air Ambulance Charity’s Critical Care Crew attend the most serious 999 calls. They are called out on average six times a day. Daniel Hanley-Shearing, Supporter Engagement Officer, says, “We are enormously grateful for the support of bClear. We receive no day-to-day government or lottery funding and need to raise more than £4 million per year. We simply couldn’t provide the level of lifesaving service we do without the support of community organisations like bClear.”
Another of the recipient causes is the Harvey Hext Trust, which offers bereavement support for families who have lost a child. It provides memory boxes, support packs and family days out, as well as resources to hospitals and schools.
Sarah Quinlan MBE, Charity Director at Radiotherapy UK says, “Radiotherapy is the second most effective cancer treatment, yet receives only 5% of the UK’s cancer treatment budget. bClear’s continued support has helped to boost our patient engagement work – which we take great pride in! During a time when funding is so tough to access, we cannot say how much it means for us to have had your backing – your grant has made a huge difference.” Radiotherapy UK aims to make sure everyone, no matter who they are or where they live, has an informed experience of treatment.
We are also taking part in Radiotherapy UK’s Miles4Radiotherapy challenge, raising as much money as possible as the team walk, run, cycle, swim and climb every mile we can over summer.
Debbie Staveley, founder and CEO of bClear, says, “Supporting so many incredible charities that truly change lives means a great deal to us. Each organisation was awarded a £500 grant to help expand their impact, extend their reach, and continue providing vital support to those they serve. Everyone in the team here strongly believes that this is a core part of what we do.”
Our commitment to social responsibility and community engagement has been ingrained in our ethos since we launched 20 years ago. bClear formally launched the Charity Fund in 2021, with the aim of helping charities get back on their feet after a challenging time during the pandemic. After four successful years, this year’s response surpassed all expectations, highlighting organisations’ need. We are determined to bring about positive change.
We will open applications for 2026’s Charity Fund early next year. Charities and non-profits can keep updated on details on bClear’s social media and website.
