The challenge:

O’Neill Patient (ONP) is a conveyancing firm with attitude. Looking to do away with many of the outmoded processes associated with conveyancing, its IT-led offer aims to bring the sector into the 21st century.

However, despite being a top three volume conveyancing firm it had ambitious growth plans to be the leading conveyancer in the market.

That’s why ONP looked to bClear in 2020 with the objective to become well known throughout the mortgage market, particularly amongst lenders and potential introducers, as well as panel managers and estate agents.

ONP had recently acquired another firm, Cavendish Legal Group (CLG) and was on the acquisition trail to acquire other conveyancing firms. bClear was challenged with promoting the CLG acquisition, raising the profile of CLG in trade and consumer press and also raising ONP’s profile in the legal press.

We were challenged with creating a strategy for increased brand awareness of both ONP and CLG, whilst positioning ONP as a tech-enabled brand that has the quickest turnaround times of any conveyancer in the market whilst also putting customer service at the heart of all it does.

The results:


Since starting work with ONP and CLG in June 2020 we have increased the profile of both brands across the mortgage, legal, property and consumer press.


bClear has successfully promoted a number of new acquisitions that ONP has made.


Peak activity for ONP in just one month we achieved 203 pieces online, in print, on social media and in email alerts, across 18 publications in the legal, conveyancing, property and financial press.


bClear worked with ONP to successfully help with issues management on a few occasions when necessary, such as when ONP had a bomb scare at its office.


bClear has raised ONP’s profile as market leaders by entering them into a number of awards; their profile was enhanced when they won the first award bClear entered the firm into – Best Conveyancing Firm in the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards.


bClear contacted The Lawyer, writing an entry that now has them listed as a top 100 lawyer in the prestigious ranking in the Legal Top 100.
